What You Don't Know About Banky W

R n B Singer, Olubankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W, was born to Nigerian parents in the United States of America.

Since returning home to pursue a career in music, the musician with a sultry voice, has clearly established himself as a master in the R&B genre.
For his effort in music, his awards and nominations are legion. His first effort, Undeniable in 2003, earned him the 2003 R&B/Soul Artist of the Year at the Urban Independent Music Awards. Since then, several other awards have followed.
In 2006 alone, he won the John Lennon Song Writing Award 2006, R&B Category, for ‘My Regret’ and also emerged Best R&B Artiste, Nigerian Entertainment Awards.
That same year, in the USA, the stylish artiste who has made the fedora hat his signature style, was the Best Male R&B Artiste courtesy, Urban Independent Music Awards.
The R&B crooner, fondly called Mr. Capable, spoke to Allure on what his typical day is like. Enjoy it.
“A typical day in my life starts from when I wake up. First, I try to say a little prayer to get my day started. Then I go out to work out with my trainer Uzi. He is the younger brother of Ikechukwu. He is an amazing physical trainer.  He tries to get me into shape so that I can look like Peter from P-Square. After my training, I come home, shower and dress for work.
When dressing for work, the number one consideration for me is comfort. I like to be comfortable so even if I am wearing a suit, it has to fit properly. I wear a lot of traditional outfits these days because they are comfortable. Other than comfort, you should dress how you want to present yourself and how you want people to perceive you.
If you come out looking like a bump, then people will react to you in a certain way. So, the key for me is comfort.
Then I try to eat a healthy meal. For breakfast, I can eat whatever I like. I like chicken a lot especially, chicken breasts. I also like some sea foods just a little bit.
It could be shrimps or whatever. After breakfast, my day becomes fast paced but each day varies depending on the things I have to do for that day. I could be in the studio or have an interview with the press or have a meeting with people trying to negotiate deals for the label.
I could also have an event where I am performing or speaking. Depending on the day, generally, that is how I work.
I have an office but I don’t go there every day depending on what I have to do. If I have a meeting to attend in the office, then I go there otherwise, I could be at home and work from there.
At work, I oversee the musical side of the artists. It is either I work in the studio or we oversee their careers in terms of positioning our artists, working with  different corporate clients to see how we can perform at different platform or liaise with different companies  to find a cross marketing like me and Samsung or Wizkid and Pepsi. So we do a lot of strategic thinking and planning, and negotiations in this regard.
Like I said earlier, it all depends on the day. For example, there are events you attend where you have to attend an after-party or you just feel like letting loose a little bit and hang out with my people. Events like that, could keep me  out a little bit.
The least favourite aspect of my job is when I have to do photo-shoots. I hate photo-shoots. I love video shoots because it seems that I am playing a role in a short movie. Photo-shoots I hate like I hate taking pictures at events. I find it really annoying because you stand there and you are expected to strike poses and do all the random things you do when doing a photo-shoot.
Even though I don’t like it, I have to do it because obviously, I need pictures for my CD covers and interviews. I don’t enjoy it at all. So I try to limit them. I really shouldn’t be saying this because my manager will be upset with me. I only do photo-shoots when I have a new album coming out.
So, when I do that shoot, I try to take as many different pictures as I can so that they will leave me alone at least for the next two years. But they are necessary, because people need to see you and connect with your image as well. So it is a necessary evil. So that is the least favourite aspect of my work’’.

World's Lightest Solid Is Lighter Than Air

A team of chemical engineers in China has manufactured the lightest solid material ever produced, which they claim will one day play a major role in cleaning up pollution. The material is called a "Graphene Aerogel" and has about one-sixth the density of air. It’s also extremely absorbent, capable of soaking up to 900 times its own weight. This quality makes it a potentially invaluable tool for environmental cleanup efforts, says Gao Chao at Zhejiang University’s Department of Polymer Science and Engineering.“Carbon aerogel is expected to play an important role in pollution control such as oil spill control, water purification and even air purification,” Gao says.Aerogels are extremely light synthetic materials, created by removing all the liquid from a gel and replacing it with gas. This particular aerogel, made of carbon nanotubes and graphene, was also freeze-dried by the Zhejiang research team. The process was used to remove all moisture from the aerogel, making the material much lighter than any aerogel ever created before while preserving its structural integrity and strength.“When an aerogel the size of a mug is put on slender setaria grass, its blades do not bend," Gao said.Another major advantage of the freeze-drying process, says Gao, is that it will make mass production of the aerogel significantly simpler and more cost-effective.

The actress who was rumoured to be dating BET award winner Ice Prince denied the claim, she said she’s a close friend of Ice Prince with no string attached.

Yvonne Nelson On Dating Iyanya

Iyanya was very special. We had a thing but I guess it was all a joke. You know, he had it all planned out. He knew what he was looking for and I guess he had it or got it. He had a lot of girls on the same role. It just didn't work. I just heard a lot of things and did lot of things. I feel it’s very disrespectful  talking about him like that. It happened to me you know, he can choose not to talk about it. The lies were just too much.

Toolz Asks: Somebody said you broke up with him because of certain Nigerian actress. How true is that.

Yvonne Nelson replies: I thought it ended because of her but there were so many other things going on. I will give you a scenario; I was in town for his birthday and guess what…there were other girls there as well. Some from South Africa, some from wherever… no not friends. He was seeing them. And I was feeling like; so I’m at his party, we are chilling, we are hanging out but guess what; there were other people there.

Actress Yvonne Nelson On Dating Ice Prince

Ice Prince and I have known like since. He calls me his homie and he is my homie. We talk. We do everything. I tease him when I hear he is dating some girls …we are very close. We are just friends.

Yvonne Nelson On Dammy Krane

He doesn't want my waist. He really loves me.

Hmmm, hope her new relationship with Nigerian artiste Dammy Krane works out. She has been in so many unsuccessful relationships…. This calls for prayer, besides, why is she not dating Ghana-based men?

Gospel Singer Tope Alabi In Sex Scandal With Her Pastor.

Leading Yoruba gospel singer, Tope Alabi has been having a messy fight with her spiritual leader, Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku for months now. But another twist has been added to the saga.

Prophet Ajanaku has made a shocking revelation about the respected Tope Alabi when talking with Biodun Kupoluyi. The popular prophet said his trouble with Tope Alabi started because of sex:

Can you clear the air on the claim by Tope Alabi that she met you "just" 6 years?
She actually met me 11 years ago when she came to church crying that since she married she had no child. I told her that by the grace of God when we shall be holding another anniversary she sill come and dedicate her child before God. I have pictures of the child dedication, I christened the child Deborah.

There are many things concerning her and the husband that I will never tell anyone, never ever. If she had not said that she met me only six years ago, I would not have called you to show all these pictures. And if I say what God has used me to do in their lives, with proofs and medical test records in their hands, they will be ashamed of themselves.

But I will like you to share it with us to put records straight?
I'm wondering if she's being foolish or just stupid. I remember when she was putting pressure on me to made love with her. She did not hide her urge to have a sexual relationship with me. At a point she could not control her urge to do that but I declined, I said never, not me. Ask these people here (in chorus, the members seated confirmed his claim).

Anyways, Tope Alabi and her husband, Soji, are denying the Prophet's allegations.
